Title: Fionnsgoth Burke c 1600
Post by: Hector on Sunday 08 August 04 07:06 BST (UK)
A message to anyone who may be able to help:

My family are descended from Fionnsgoth Burke, of the Burke's of Connacht, and a son of Allan 9 MacDonald of Clanranald.  Allan's son Ranald 1 MacDonald of Benbecula in South Uist married Fionnsgoth as his second wife around 1609 I would suppose.  Whereas I can gain a great deal of information upon my particular MacDonald descent, I have been unable to look at more details on the Burke's and this particular family who had at least three sons, one called Alexander, who in turn had a son called Angus.

Best wishes

Hector S. MacDonald
