Title: Will of John Higginbotham of Coolinastudd (1835)
Post by: RutitaHands on Saturday 27 March 21 17:05 GMT (UK)
I found a probate record for John Higginbotham with Residence of Coolinstudd in the Ireland, Diocesan and Prerogative Wills & Administrations Indexes. Is there a place where I am be able to see the contents of his will?

Probate: 1835, Ferns, County Wexford, Ireland

The short answer is no, there isn't. The original will is lost.
The reference to Ferns is to the diocese. Wills came under the jursisdiction of the established church until 1858.

There may be some hope of an abstract or record by the Inland Revenue  - you should check which years are available.

Thank you. I'll check and see what I can find from Inland Revenue.
