I am trying to track down the immigration details of my 3x Grt Grand Parents Denis and Margaret (NEE Murray) KENNEDY. They originate in Cashel & Emly, Co Tipperary, Ireland.
I have found them on the New York 1855 census residing in Ward 9, Brooklyn City, Kings, New York along with their Daughters Maria (age 11) and Margaret (age 4). None of their sons appear to be with them.
Dennis is shown as Blacksmith and the Family show as residing in the USA for 2 years.
I have found a death cert for who I believe may be my Dennis back in Ireland in 1872, occupation is again Blacksmith.
I would be grateful for any assistance in tracking down the Family movements.
Thank you in advance

This must be the 1855 census you refer to - Brooklyn City, Ward 9, Kings, New York.
Dennis Keneday 36 Head. Born 1819. Blacksmith.
Margaret Keneday 36 Wife. born Ireland.
Maria Keneday 11 Child. born Ireland.
Margret Keneday 4 Child. born Ireland.
Years resided in Watertown 2 years.

There were quite a number of Kennedy families travelled from Ireland in that timeframe but I haven't come across your Dennis & Family yet.
There wouldn't be a return passenger list showing the family, those are not recorded until 1878
Still searching.

This appears to be Maria's death record - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2715-395 It says 40 years in the US & NYC, although that may be based on information from someone who guessed at it.
