Hi Carol
I am sorry if I have caused any problems. I understand about replying to problems. Unfortunately, I recently read, I don't remember which site, that someone is seeking this information. I didn't know how to to make the fact known that I have data on Daniel Emmett to this person who may use Root Chat.
Any advice is more than welcome.

If you google daniel emmett married ann harrison there is a WikiTree for this couple.
(not a lot of info though)

The Emmett surname is familiar as I worked on a George Emmett a few years ago (born Berkshire)
I had a quick search on Rootschat but cant see any queries about Daniel.
I did some searching and found;
FreeREG has Daniel/Anns childrens Bapts Thorpe, Surrey (bapt 1807-1825)
(+ burials of 4 of them)
I presume you know Ann Harrison bapt 2 Sons 1802/1805 in Thorpe.
Cant see a Marriage to Daniel though for her.
Gosh Daniel was a lot older than Ann;

Yes, Kaitlin's wikitree entry was where I saw the brief reference to Daniel Emmett. My family search is based in Devon, but I rememebered someone was asking for help with Daniel . The trouble is that I can't rememeber where I read it. I agree, Daniel was a whole lot older than Ann.
My problem is with trying to prove that Nicholas Emmett b 1607 is father to Richard Emmett b1643 and son of Nicholas Emmett b1571. I have seen copy of Ugborough Parish Register that proves Willi was father of Nicholas Emmett b1571. We keep working away inspite of Lockdown.

Hi! Daniel's my ancestor and it's likely some of my stuff you saw online, I've been trying to crack this brickwall for over a decade with no luck!
There's three main issues
- no evidence as to where my Daniel is prior to 1806 when he takes up with Ann Harrison
- a number of Emmett families in the surrounding area with no apparent link to my Emmetts
- numerous Emmett families across England, including Devon who have Daniel as a family name
