Hi,
I'm trying to locate the resting places of a growing number of ancestors in my (paternal) Callear family tree. They are known to have been buried in/at St Giles the Abbott Cemetery (Church Street, Cheadle, Staffs).
Does anyone know of any plans/lists showing plot locations for this Cemetery?

Try 'wishful thinking memorial inscriptions'. Have had a quick scan of the MI's but the nearest I can see is a 'Collier'. HTH.

Tried wishful thinking, findagrave, etc - contain info about the burial locations of the Stome-on-trent branch of our family but nothing about my branch who live/lived in Cheadle Staffs.
I previously managed to obtain a copy of plans and a list of "occupants"(?) for the main cemetery in Leek. I can only assume it was compiled by Staffs Moorland District Council who I assume look after the cemetery in Cheadle. I'm hoping an equivalent document exists but I've yet to uncover it. The Leek document helped me to find lots of ancestors and make connections to other families, etc.
At present I do not know plot numbers and I get the impression the Cemetery at Cheadle is too big to just wander around in the hope of finding the graves I'm trying to locate and I suspect there are more to confirm.
Fingers-crossed!

A few years ago I contacted Cheadle parish council and they found the grave numbers of my grandparents and sent me plans of how to find them.

Thanks for the response.
How did you contact them?
Is/was this a free or paid service?
Thanks again
