Hello again after a long while! I have a 'brick wall'.
I and a Canadian relative, John, have been searching for Henrietta Knight, born in Dublin on the 28th September 1868. She married Alexander Little on the 16th November 1891, from Thorncastle Street. (We know about her six children.)
She's last seen by us in the 1901 Dublin Census, living in Cambridge Place,
with her husband and 4 children.
Her last child seems to be William Thomas, b 8 Sept 1910 at 36 Pembroke Cottages, Ringsend.
Neither of the parents is in the 1911 census.
We have not found her after this, although Alexander may be in the Dublin voter lists in 1913.
I have a little more info, but this is the basics.....
She is NOT the 'Henrietta Louise' found later in a rather posher area of Dublin.
Did she die? Did she emigrate, did she remarry - or both?
No result from searches worldwide.
...........Any ideas or info?

What happened to the six children - where do you have them in later life?
I see Isabella died young but where did the others go?

It feels right - Shettleston is already known to me as a glass connection.
(I can't at the moment access this myself, Ancestry isn't coming up with it.)
In 1901 Alexander is a 'bottle macker' (sic) and he should have had relatives there...

Something to look into on Scotland People there is a 1951 marriage entry in Shettleston
surnames are little/cook and her middle name is Knigh
The Cooks are on the Glasgow Electoral Register year 1954/address 52 Old Shettleston Road

I finally managed to get back on ScotlandsPeople (lost p/w) and you know what, there were
60 Alexander Littles in Glasgow that census year - I would not have found it without seeing 'Shettleston' here.....
Passing it all on to John, I expect he will be delighted to find them in Canada.

Interesting to see that Henrietta's son Robert was born in the Transvaal, 1899.
It confirms the rather muddled emigration record I found online.
His birth is not on NAAIRS, I already suspected that he may have returned with his family to
Ireland, but without a birth certificate - I suppose this is possible? He was baptised in Ireland.
And another baptism on the same page seems the only record (apart from her early death) of the
existence of his sister Louisa, unless anyone here can find her birth?
