Title: greenock Old west Kirk Burial Ground
Post by: thomasgatherer on Sunday 07 March 21 14:50 GMT (UK)
Hi, I'm trying to find some information on the removal of the Old West Kirk Burial ground in Greenock in the early 1920s. I understand that the remains were re-interred in the Greenock cemetery along with most of the memorials. Can anyone point me to online details of this/ photos of the old burial ground and/or location of burial records.

Many thanks

Some information -
Quote
when the Old West Kirk was moved to its present site, many of the ancient gravestones from the Old West Kirkyard were transferred to a plot within Greenock Cemetery

Not sure if any of graves would now be listed in the Greenock Cemetery ?
