I’d love to see a coloured version of this photo of my great- grandmother Ellen.
Grateful Thanks in advance
-
Have you previously had restoration done on this photo?
-
One from me.

A variation for you.

Lovely colourings, Carol.
Photoshop or my Mac had a little 'turn' while I was colouring this so I'll try to sort things out and have another go later if they behave :-\

A go from me.
Cheers,

My mother was an Eleanor Hoggarth so I have given Ellen her colouring and her favourits colour to wear. I don't suppose they are related, My mother was the youngest daughter of Sarah Jane Ormrod from Foulshaw and Lancelot Hoggarth from Westmorland.

I managed to recover some of it and then went from there.
A pale one
-
and one with more warmth.

One from me...
-
Tried a slightly different effect and larger.
She's very Mona Lisa-ish with that enigmatic smile :)
-
Lots of excellent ones already but had a go:
-
A try from me, regards, John.

Todhunter, You seem to have missed the other colour versions of your photo. I think there are at least eight since you last commented.
-
Pat, My Hoggarth's came from Sedbergh,so there's a possibility they could be related. The spelling of my folk changed over time, There's "Hogarth/ Hoggart/ Hegert/Hagard.
love the colourings you've done of my Ellen Hoggarth
Thank you.

Thank you all for your time, patience and amazing skill.
They are all they are all beautiful, I love them all.
Caroline.

They will probably be related somehow, it's a well known name in that area. My mother Eleanor, was the youngest of seven children and Lancelot her father died when she was a baby, so she was 'adopted' by John Bargh Garnett and his wife, Ann Elizabeth Hodgson More well known names in that area
