Title: John Wright and Hannah Griffiths - marriage, Hawarden
Post by: alibear on Friday 12 February 21 12:13 GMT (UK)
Hi,

I'm trying to find the marriage details of John Wright b. c.1825 and Hannah Griffiths, please.  I think it's in 1846.  I'm trying to find the father of John Wright as there were about 3 Johns born in Hawarden around then and that's the best plan i have!  My gr.gr grandfather was their son, William b. 1862. Thank you!

the Joseph married to Sarah is noted as shopkeeper on John's baptism, but on baptisms of siblings
William 1818
Mary 1821
Frances 1826
George 1829
he is noted as shipwright.

I like this cleric who records the mother's maiden name!

I had just added to my post as I'd found the image and yes what a bonus having the mother's maiden name

I'd meant to say, it would probably worth checking the census page in Ewloe Lane from 1841, lots of Dickinsons, probably relatives of Sarah.

Baptism in Hawarden 15 May 1796 for Sarah daughter of William Dickinson, labourer & wife Mary formerly Hewitt.
Marriage 27 Dec 1790 for William Dickinson & Sarah Hewitt.
