I'm new to Rootschat so please bear with me. I've traced Thomas Gould Bevington through Census 1841 to 1871 to his death in 1875 aged 68. He stated his birth place as St. Martins, Worcester. (c1808) but no trace. He married (Sarah Field) in 1831 (Weston Subedge, Glos.) and the witness was an Ann Gould Bevington, and no trace of her at all. Any ideas anyone, please. Thanks. Mike.

can you post your census findings please - ie - when was the last census you have Sarah in ?
I see in 1851 census
Thomas Gould Bevington Head Male 42 Worcester, Worcestershire
Sarah Bevington Wife Female 43 Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire
Elizabeth Sarah Bevington Daughter Female 11 Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire
Hannah Bevington Daughter Female 6 Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire
Mary Ann Bevington Daughter Female 1 Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire
Mary Field Mother-In-Law Female 78 Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire
.................................................................................
very strange it says the census from Weston Subedge ,WORCESTERSHIRE - but all the family except Thomas are born Weston Subedge GLOUCESTERSHIRE
Did this town move Counties ?

Ann BEVINGTON, widow, married William GOULD, widower, in 1836 at Weston Subedge. Witnesses were Thomas Gould BEVINGTON and Sarah Gould BEVINGTON. They all made their mark so it is not possible to compare signatures.
If she is the Ann with husband William in 1841 at Weston Subedge then she was born late 1790s and not old enough to be Thomas's mother. Sister in law perhaps?

1841 census
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7M3-RDS
It appears that Joshua and Alfred are William's children, and Isabella and John are Ann's childen. the indexed entry for Caroline's birth has no mother's maiden name so gives the appearance of being illegitimate. She was baptised as their daughter in 1837 so perhaps with the multiple surnames involved the wording is incorrect and the GRO may not have been able to ascertain which was the maiden name. The cert would have to be seen to confirm.
Isabella BEVINGTON
Event Type: Baptism
Baptism Date: 17 Oct 1824
Baptism Place: Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire, England
Father: John BEVINGTON
Mother: Ann BEVINGTON
