Hello,
I have two photographs of relatives and have no idea about the date of the photos other than maybe late 1920s to early 1930s, but I may be wrong.
Reverse side of 'photograph1' says:
"North Bay Snaps Ltd., Scarborough. Further copies can be obtained by quoting index letter and number on photograph."
Reverse side of 'photograph2' says:
Further copies enlargements & frames from "snaps", kodak supplies, bridlington".
Do the codes have any significance?
Thank you

The first one I would date to 1920s and the second one 1930s.

Thank you. It's a shame they didn't scribble the year on photos back in the day!

I am wondering if the top one may have been taken by a photographer who took candid photos of people often at the seaside. This might account for the reference number on the front.

Snaps of Scarborough were in existence until the 1960's.
They were well known for "Walking Photos" of holidaymakers.

North Bay Snaps of Bridlington was founded in 1928, and went out of business in 1941.

Yes Ruskie, I have a couple those taken with Family walking on the prom.

I would suggest both are 1930's with the 2nd. being possibly from late 20's.
