Hello
I came across some marriages in 1917 Hull and just wondered please if anyone knows what family line they are from .
Theodociaus Smith, age 41 , father William a marine store dealer
married
Sarah Smith , age 23 , father Riley Smith a basket maker
Joseph Smith , age 38 , father William Smith a marine store dealer
married
Evelyn Smith, age 28, father Aradine Smith marine store dealer
George Smith , father Haridine Smith marine store dealer
married
Ellen Smith , age 20 , father William Smith marine store dealer
Jonas Smith , age 36 , father Haridine Smith marine store dealer
married
Patience Smith, age 27, father William Smith marine store dealer
A Render Smith was a witness to some of the marriages. It looks like they may have lived canning street.
Any info would be a great help . Thank you

Have you checked the 1911 & 1901 censuses as some of the male names are quite distinctive- Render, Haridine, Theodociiaus. You could also check freebmd for births.
The 1911 has a Render Smith b 1883 & another b 1842

You say you came across the marriages - are they connected to your ancestry?

Hello
I have checked and can't seem to find them , i can find some of them on the 1939 register living in caravans at Sandhall Farm.
I thought with the names perhaps they could be related some how to Mendoza and Ann Smith

Smith & Jones are probably the most common surnames. It was also a common surname amongst the travelling community.
You haven't given any details of where and when Mendoza was born/married or why you feel any of these Smiths could be connected to him
