Try this site: http://www.newtownardshistory.co.uk/
Quite a few Hiles/Hyles on there.

Also try Ros Davies site of Co.Down surnames: http://rosdavies.com/

Have you already used https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp for various B/M/D records? And,  http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ for 1901 and 1911 census?

Hello Scotmum,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I use these 2 sites. I have been researching on and off for over 40 years.
I’m spending this current lockdown trying to suss out brickwalls, errors on websites etc. and to find out any new sources of information that I don’t know about.
Thanks again.
