Title: Benjamin Henry Price/Master Mariner
Post by: mudgeemaid on Saturday 09 January 21 05:20 GMT (UK)
Hi Rootschatters
Looking for information relating to Benjamin Henry Price B.1823 Middlesex D,1876 (possibly New Zealand.
Family story (we all know about them) has him on the Cutty Sark. Wondering if anyone has access to the crew listings relating to the Cutty Sark (I believe the book "Cutty Sark" list crews) to see if he is listed as a crew member.
It could possibly be Benjamin's son who was also called Benjamin Henry Price b.1856 d.1939(New Zealand).
Thanking you in anticipation

Hi :-)

Can you please clarify

"Looking for information relating to Benjamin Henry Price B.1823 Middlesex D,1876 (possibly New Zealand"
Why possibly New Zealand?

"It could possibly be Benjamin's son who was also called Benjamin Henry Price b.1856 d.1939(New Zealand)"
Do you mean - possibly was the son of the above? or possibly it was Jnr who could have been on the Cutty Sark?

This Rootschat from 2008 - is it same family?

Deleted that suggestion.

Adding, are you in Australia?

There are copies of the book  here. Are you able to borrow them on library inter loan?
