Hi
My grandfather’s records are attached.
Hi. My Grandfather was in 1st Batallion of KORR, after signing up in 1940. From the attached document I believe from the dates he was in the WS7 convoy via SAfrica. I would love for him to have been in the Durban section of the convoy, but I think the India bound ships went to Cape Town ( I have a visited Durban a few times with work). He was travelling from Liverpool to Karachi
Does anyone have any ideas?
Huge thanks for any extra information

The National Archives at Kew offer a contact enquiry service which should get you going especially as you can provide the Convoy Number. They have experts in the majority of fields. Every little helps.

Some ships detached from Convoy WS 7 to become Convoy WS 7X arriving Bombay 5.5.41.
WS 7X comprised of ships that had entered both Capetown and Durban.
