Hi All
Need help in decyphering a section of writing on my great grandparents weeding certificate please, its the section that starts:
The Marriage register of ?????? Parish Church.
This is in the Parish of Sutton-cum-Seaford in Sussex, 1904.
Have looked at a side by side map of Sutton, and there is the outline of a church on the map, but the church is no longer there, and no name attached to it, if indeed, it is the same Church
Also tried Google but no success.
Thanks in advance.
Nigel

It's on this map - under the O in the word Seaford U D. I think that is what is now Alfriston Road.

Hello, Don’t know if this will help but a cousin was baptised in the parish of Sutton-Cum-Seaford in 1914 and the register is signed by the curate - J.A.S. Griffiths. Other names on the page are C.B. Prior (Curate/Deacon) and F.D. Cremer (Vicar). Good Luck.
