I'm beginning to think that I may be related to most of Brenchley ::) I am tracking yet another of my JEFFERY clan.
1881 details ....
Robert YOUNG 60 Tudeley, Kent Labourer On Roads
Dinah YOUNG 47 Rusthall, Kent, England
Robert YOUNG 19 Brenchley, Kent,
Thomas YOUNG 16 Brenchley, Kent
Edwin YOUNG 13 Brenchley, Kent
Robert & Dinah married in 1851, but it may be his second marriage. I'm hoping to track backwards until I find if he has any of the children from the possible first marriage with him.

Thanks Casalguidi,
this proves my theory - in the 1861 entry the 13 year old William is from the first marriage. :D "Red Herring City"? We get enough of those!
much appreciated

There is a place called Red Herring City in Brenchley - one of my relatives mentioned it when I was there last week. I am trying to find out where Mitchells City was - any ideas?
Best wishes
