One bad Egg was sent to prison for 6 months, so I'd imagine there were Celebrations. And a couple of Heroes in WW1.
Looking at the few photos I have, I don't think any of the women were Fox's
Griff 😂

There were quite a few people named Christmas (and variants) in Essex. I suppose some of them must have been Father Christmas. :)

There was a tale about the Navy...........
A rating was working with a man who's surname was Christmas.
When asked by a Petty Officer what he was waiting on he replied "Christmas".
Poor man ended up on a charge.

Rosinish,
I had entirely forgotten the usage of that word that I had to look it up!
tinsel (n.)
mid-15c., "a kind of cloth made with interwoven gold or silver thread," from Anglo-French tencele, Old French estencele, estincelle "spark, spangle" (see stencil (n.)). "In 14-15th c. Fr., the s of es- had long been mute" [OED]. Meaning "very thin sheets or strips of shiny metal" is recorded from 1590s. Figurative sense of "anything showy with little real worth" is from 1650s, suggested from at least 1590s. Use of Tinseltown for "Hollywood" is by 1972.

I found five "Bowes" :D
-
Bowes mostly in County Durham
-
Might be because of the village of that name being there, although what it has to do with seasonal names I don't know.
-
The sports editor for our local paper a few years ago was called.
