Thanks KG.
The marriage entry for Richard CONLAN and Anne Jane HYLAND have his father as Eugene. Would be interested in knowing what his mother's name was. The witness Peter CONLAN is possibly a brother of the groom. The other witness Mary Jane SHAW I believe is a cousin of the bride.
Also is this Richard the Richard CONLAN who died at Brownstown in 1881. If so what happened to his wife and children after that date. Can't find any of them in any records.
Children were
Owen 1872
Mark 1874
Edward 1876
Richard 1878
Mary 1880
Cheers

Hi,
I just moved into a house that was built by Richard Conlan on the land of his uncle, Edward Conlan, who had left it to him in his will. This Richard was born in Brownstown. I’m trying to trace the history of the house. Edward was a JP who was involved in the Land Acts, leading the local tenants to resist paying exorbitant rents to absentee landlords. Apparently his funeral was one of the biggest ever in the Curragh. Richard built the house around 1910 and I have a newspaper article saying he sold it in 1927. Does anyone know who might have bought it from him? Who was the architect? Btw this Dick was the son of Richard and Ann Jane Hyland. Where did he go after he sold the house?

Is this the stud farm at Pollardstown?
I see an ad in 1927 where Richard Conlan had a 321 acre Stud Farm and house for sale at Pollardstown and in 1928 T Burns the Irish flat race jockey has 'more recently acquired a 300 acre stud farm at Pollardstown near the Curragh.'
I don't see Richard Conlan listed under Pollardstown in the Land Register for 1920 to 1929

Or in the name list 1925 to 1929
