Hi all...
I'm not sure where to look for further information.
I have John Barry and Margaret Murphy; both of Gneevuilla co.Kerry.
I know they were married Nov 05 1853 and had 7 children (John 1858, Johanna 1855, Patrick 1860, Catherine 1865, Mary 1869, Margaret 1871 and Ellen 1874.)
They lived at Tureenamult, Gneevuilla. Their marriage record doesn't have mothers maiden name.
I can't identify their birth certs or find their parents names on findmypast or genealogy.ie, are there other places I ought to be checking out? Trying to really find them and then their parents so I can go back another generation. Thanks in advance for any advice or help, Kerry

Civil registration of births, Catholic marriages & deaths started in 1864 (from 1845 for Protestant & Registry office marriages). So, before those dates church records (if they exist) will need to be found.
I have John Barry and Margaret Murphy; both of Gneevuilla co.Kerry.
They lived at Tureenamult, Gneevuilla.
These are the townlands of Gneevgullia and Tooreennamult (note the spelling) in the civil parish of Kilcummin.

The RC parish for the area was Rathmore.

Is it definitely John?
I can see a couple births to David Barry and Margaret Murphy
1871 Margaret

1874 Ellen

There is one for Catherine too.
In these births, the townland is Mount Rodger.

I do hope you didn't spend a long time looking for John.. (the rest of the family all seem to be called John so that must be how i made the mistake.. )

Think I agree with that, Heywood.
Mausrower townland right next door to Gneevgullia and Tooreennamult.

I can't open your links on here for some reason.
If you click on heywood's links, does the 'Captcha' box come up. Solve it by ticking the box, and use initials such as ‘b’, ‘b’ to sign in. Ensure that you tick the ‘application to search’ box.
Sometimes you get multiple images which have to be solved.

Apologies for reviving an old thread. I am pretty sure that David Barry and Margaret Murphy were my great great grandparents. I haven't been able to go any further back so if you succeeded I would be interested
