Title: 1861 Census Address query Heaton Norris
Post by: Belvoirboy on Saturday 05 December 20 20:32 GMT (UK)
I have my great grandfather Michael Sheehan with his mother Mary and brother Jeremiah in the 1861 census RG 9/2561 Heaton Norris Christchurch. The address is difficult to read but looks like 3 Holoms Court. The next street is ??vis Street which after consulting a map of 1878 could be Travis Street. I am attempting to find exactly where they lived and a possible solution would be to look at the census details that cover the same area for 1851 and 1871 to see if they are legible. I would much appreciate it if someone could check these details for me.
I know what happened to Mary and my ggrandfather Michael, but Jeremiah disappears completely after this census.... Jim

I can’t see them on the 1861 census on FamilySearch.

Could you post details - ages, occupations, places of birth - from the census you see them on, please?

Historical Streets says Holsons Court. Are they right?

Thanks for the lookups... I think Halls Court is the most likely address. Unfortunately I can't access many of the above links so I don't know what they are referring to. I did access the Street name site... Many thanks. Jim
