Is anyone able to look up a marriage for me, between James Green, a merchant, and Ann, whose surname I don't know? Their twins were born in April 1840 and baptised, I believe, at St Margaret's, Lee, Kent.
I think by the 1851 James had gone missing from the family and Ann was living alone with the children, Walter and Martha. I don't know if Ann stated she was married or a widow, but by 1871 she is stating she is a widow and "Owner of House Property".
thanks

Don't know if this will help, but on the 1841 Census
Ann Green 30, is shown as living at 22 Lee Place with a 12 Year old (difficult to read) Josiah ?? Green, the twins Walter and Martha and another person Ann Tubb Aged 15.
If you want a copy PM your email.

Hi MrsLizzy
This is a really old request so you may well have the information by now but, if not, there is a marriage James GREEN to Ann ADDIS 26 Jul 1826 Lee, Kent which would perhaps be about the right time and area http://www.familysearch.org
