I don't suppose anyone has a copy of this, do they?
Rothesay Free Church Births & Baptisms 1844-1918, by Stuart Farrell
Looking for the surname Carrick, probably between 1845-1860.
Thanks.

I have looked at the Scotland's People index and there are no statutory births, marriages or deaths for the name Carrick (or any variant) in the whole of Bute between 1855 and 1860.
I also looked at the Scotland's People index for baptisms in Rothesay Free Church from 1840 - 1854, and no Carricks appear.

Thank you, yes, I've done both of those too. But I was hoping someone might have a copy of this booklet as it covers the years before 1855.

The Rothesay Free Church baptisms are on Scotland's People. I checked for Carricks between 1840 and 1854 and none come up.
When none came up, I just entered "James" to check that the Free Church records were actually there, and they are.
The Disruption took place in 1843. There was no Free Church in Scotland before that year.

Just doing a quick 1851 seach shows only 7 entries for the surname Carrick living in Bute. Of those 7 - only one was born there - James Carrick b 1850.
Same census has no Carricks b Bute living elsewhere
In 1861 there are Mary & Annie Carrick b 1859 & 1861 respectively - mother Janet

Hi, yes, I've been researching my Carrick's for a long time now, so have done all the usual searches myself several times over over the years. I specifically just wanted to know whether anyone had seen and/or has a copy of that booklet as I haven't come across it before and just wondered whether there was anything in it I haven't seen elsewhere. But thank you both for your input, much appreciated. :)
