Title: looking for Henry G Savory 1916

Hi, can anyone help me find Henry G Savory born York 1916 to Eva Crosby. His biological father was more than likely Frederick Gilbert hence the G in his surname. I can see him on the 1939 register as Harry living with Eva & Frederick he's going by Gilbert then & his DOB is 16/11/1916. I can't see him after that.


Also if by any chance anyone can decipher the last Gilbert on the 1939 register i would be very grateful.

Ancestry transcribes the given name of the last person listed in the household as Edy, which looks good to me. But to me, the surname looks like Glover, not Gilbert.

Henry is not the Henry J Savory who leaves for West Africa in 1941, as ancestry hints. That man's last residence in the UK was Chipping Sodbury, Bristol. He is living there in 1939.

Thanks. It was a complicated relationship with Eva taking up with Frederick & having children before Wiliam had died, it would appear he abandoned around the time of the war.

still no sign of Henry(Harry) though :-(
