Post by: Youngy1981 on Friday 16 October 20 22:14 BST (UK)
Hi

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've managed to trace the Young family tree to 1090 with some help from other sites and looking up certain names and one I'm struggling with is Jocosa Young all i know is she was born  1262 (July of 1632. was wrong)

Her parents are

Sir Nicholas De Walford Young
1235–1300
BIRTH 1235
DEATH 1300

Cecily De Baliol
1240–1273
BIRTH 1240
DEATH 1273

Sibling
Sir Knight Geoffrey De Walford Young
1265–1325
BIRTH 1265
DEATH 1325

all help very much appreciated

Hi Tazzie i think i just got the dates muddled up when i was writing it down and i think it was either GenesReunited or find my past now looking at it again i understand why it looks odd

Thank you for noticing

You should also look into the history of surnames. There were no hereditary surnames as we now understand them in 1090.

You can't trust online trees on GenesReunited or Geni or whatever.

What is the original document source for her birth?
