Hi All,
I am looking for information on my GGG Grandfather Patrick Curry. Born circa 1805 County Fermanaugh. His daughter Catherine Curry married my GG Grandfather Adam Barlow in 1845 in Liverpool. The address on her marriage certificate is Redcrop St. Liverpool. I am not sure if all the Curry's lived there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Warm Regards

Hi there,
All my relatives are Curry's from Fermanagh - they hailed from Derrylin in Fermanagh. My father has visited there and the cemeteries are filled with Curry's. I have a Patrick Curry in my line too but the dates don't match with yours. You could try ordering some record from Fermanagh through the Mormon web site - Family Search.
Good Luck

Thanks for your response. I am guessing at his date of birth. His daughter was born circa 1825 so he may actually have been prior to that time. I know his occupation was Cooper as that is what is listed on Catherine's marriage certificate.
Warm Regards and good luck with your search for the Curry's.

Has anyone got an Andrew Curry in their family b.c1836 in County Tyrone? He married Mary ? in c.1853. She was born in County Fermanagh either a year before Andrew or the year after depending on which census you look at! They married in County Fermanagh.
Any help would much appreciated

Civil registration of non-Catholic marriages began in 1845. If Andrew Curry & Mary ? were not married in a Catholic ceremony there should be a marriage certificate which should list their fathers' names and occupations as well was residences of bride and groom at time of marriage.

If the marriage that Mary found is the correct Andrew and Mary there's a possible record in IGI for Alice Currie born 5 Sept.1855 Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland to Andrew Currie and Mary Morrison but with such common surnames Alice may belong to an entirely different couple (Alice's Scottish birth certificate from 1855 should have lots of details that might help trace the family further if this is the right family).

Try alternative spellings to Currie and Curry ... Corry, McCorry and McCurry may be worth considering.
