Title: George Scott, Eccelefechan
Post by: djscott on Wednesday 02 September 20 17:02 BST (UK)
I am interested in connecting about the Scotts of Eccelefechan.  My ancestor is George Scott, born 5 June 1764 in Eccelefechan, died 26 April 1837 at Kirkpatrick.  Married to Janet Calvert born 25 Nov. 1769 at Stonehouse, Hoddom, and died 15 October 1841 at Kirkpatrick.  They had 11 children, one of whom was my great great grandfather, George Scott who married Margaret Porteous and moved to Canada.  He became the postmaster of Mimico, Ontario.  I would like to confirm the information I have on those 11 children.

The original baptisms of ten children of George Scott and J*n*t Calv*rt in Middlebie between 1790 and 1809 are available to view online at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. It's pay-per-view but modestly priced.

From Ancestry. I could only find 10.
That is because Ancestry has only an **index** to the original information on Scotland's People.
