Hello everyone, Just looking for some info on Zachariah Burn.  I have found the coroners report but can't find out when he came to Australia and why and if his family came with him.  He was originally from Sunderland in England.  I only have an approx. birth date of 1840 for him.  From what I have found I am pretty certain he married a Christiana Thurlbeck and they had a daughter Mary Jane Burn.  He died in Newcastle in1870 and is buried in the West Wesleyan Cemetery of NSW

Possible extra children besides Mary Jane, born to Burn/Thurlbeck in Sunderland:

Mary Jane, M qtr 1863 Vol:10a Pg 466 mmn Thurlbeek

John George, D qtr 1864 Vol:10a Pg 497 mmn Thurlbeck

Zachariah Wilkinson, S qtr 1866 Vol:10a Pg 521 mmn Thurlbeck - died 1867

Isabel, J qtr 1868 Vol:10a Pg 581 mmn Thurlbeck

Possible Isabel and her mother in 1871 :-\

Christiana Burns,29, married, born Sunderland
Isabella Burns,2, born Sunderland

So possibly the family didn't follow Zachariah to Australia.

A transcription from "NSW, Newcastle Lost Cemeteries 1829-1902"  describe him as a seaman.
