Good day. I'm searching for my Mitchell family line (live in US) that dates back to mid-1800's. I show John Mitchell and Ann Bradley married living in Manorhamilton. At the very least, they had two sons: Patrick (perhaps born in 1862) and Richard, born 3/1/1868. Both immigrated to the US in the late 1800's. Interested in any extended Mitchell family members still living the area. Thank you

Here's the death of Richard's father, John in 1913 aged 96 years. His son, Michael was the informant.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1914/05311/4477558.pdf
.....and the death of Richard's mother Sarah (she maybe was Sarah Anne) in 1922. Again Michael, her son was the informant.

Edited to add: These are NOT the parents of Patrick and Richard. Sarah's maiden name was Feeley.
Edited to add 2: John is their father, but Sarah is NOT their mother

... At the very least, they had two sons: Patrick (perhaps born in 1862) and Richard, born 3/1/1868 ...
Son Patrick was baptised in Killasnet RC parish on 18 February 1860 (left page, 4th entry down):
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634861#page/65/mode/1up
Also, a daughter Catherine was baptised for the couple some time from 1-5 April 1862 (top of left page):
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634861#page/91/mode/1up
And a son John Mitchell was registered as born 24 February 1865:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1865/03585/2321566.pdf
Son John was baptised on 26 February 1865 (left page, about 13 lines down):
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634861#page/127/mode/1up
Son Richard's civil birth registration (posted at Reply #1) looks like a late one, for he was baptised on March 1st 1868 (left page, 7th entry up from bottom):
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634861#page/150/mode/1up

As per reply #2, Father John is now likely to be the correct one.
Is this the death of Anne (wife No 1) in 1870, and he marries Sarah Feel(e)y the following year.
Name ANNE MITCHEL
Date of Death 1870
SR District/Reg Area Manorhamilton
Deceased Age at Death 35, Returns Quarter 3

This looks like an earlier daughter Catherine baptised to John Mitchell and Ann Bradly on 16 December 1855 (left page, 4th line down - presumably died young):
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634861#page/30/mode/1up

A transcript of a death record I've seen for Manorhamilton civil registration district shows that a 35 year old farmer's wife Annie Mitchell of Lisnabrack Killasnet died on 20 September 1870, the informant was John Mitchell of Lisnabrack.

I wondered if this was a daughter Sarah born to John Mitchell and Sarah Feely at the end of 1878?

Maybe this is the Mitchell-Feely son Michael?

This might be Sarah's marriage to Terence Rooney in 1908.

Can't find her in the 1901 census.

Many thanks for all the input; very helpful. So i have a quandry: the story strongly suggests John Mitchell (died 1913) was married to Ann Bradly and had at least two children (Patrick and Richard) before Ann died in 1870 and remarried a year later (Sarah Feely) and had several more children. But how can I prove it was the same John Mitchell in both stories? Many thanks,
Frank

This enquiry doesn’t appear to have anything to do with Co Leitrim. You should ask a moderator to move it to the Co Antrim board.
Here’s Robert’s marriage certificate. They married in Broughshane 2nd Presbyterian church. His townland was Glenhugh and his father was Henry a farmer.
