Hello,
This is my great aunt marrying her first husband in 1940. A wealthy wedding the marriage certificatr states he was in the costume industry, hence I think he was able to lay his hands on the amazing material in the bride's dress.
Would anyone like to have a go at putting into colour pls?
Many thanks in advance. :)

Looks like one of those Hollywood movie stills. :D :D :D

I know - and she came from a poor working class background.
This was her first husband.
She then met another wealthy man and sailed on the Queen Mary across to the USA to marry him. (not sure what happened to first husband yet!)

What a beautiful picture, try us with looking for her 1st husband if you want help, you never know

Thanks Louisa; on this thread or the London thread?

Well if they lived in London I suppose that would be where to look, a mod or one other RC might suggest elsewhere
Happy hunting

Thank you for the feedback Jool, it is very much appreciated :-* Hand colouring rather than using automatic colouring Apps takes a lot of time and patience but it is very rewarding and satisfying when the work carried out is appreciated.
Thanks also to Louisa Maud for the appreciation shown :-*
Bless you both for taking the time and trouble to respond.

Lovely pic, and absolutely stunning restorations all.
Very talented bunch here, am proud to associated with the talents of RC (even though I sadly don't share them)
However, be assured I do recommend RC to anyone I come across in my family history researches, and I always tell my contacts to first of all look at the Photo Restoration Board for the miracles that have been worked here, both in identification and restoration.
:D :D :D

Hello all, I am so sorry I haven't been back on here to acknowledge and thank you all for your wonderful efforts. I have not been receiving any notifications that there have been new posts on this thread so I was unaware of them.
I'm delighted with the results, and so grateful. Thank you all so much, you are all very talented. I love the vignette one in particular.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. You're all marvellous. :D

I'm pleased that you finally sorted out your mail notifications, it's a common problem, at least you have seen all the colourings now and haven't lost out on seeing all the lovely variations :D
