Hi, can anyone help me find a Baptism for the above lady?, I have found her in every census living in the Workhouse, although I don't think she was a long term resident, her daughter was born in Caton workhouse on the 14 January 1853 and I have found two other baptisms at St Paul's Caton, for a Henry and Mary Hartley, children of Elizabeth Hartley in the workhouse. I don't know what happened to these last two children, but Jane had left by 1871 and goes on to marry a George Bolton.
I have Elizabeth s death certificate and she died in Hornby and Farleton workhouse on the 4th March 1889,age 72, the informant was the master. any help anyone can give will be much appreciated, Jean.

Thank you, I have followed this one but she is still in the 1841 census with her parents and mine is in Caton workhouse x

Hi, yes I have their marriage certificate, they were married on the 18 Sep 1871 at Lunesdale Register Office, his father was John Bolton, no father listed for Jane, thanks for the info on Henry I had missed his burial x

I think you will find that Wray is in the Hornby parish.
At least there are baptism in the church in Hornby of children from Wray, as Wary is certainly much closer to Hornby than it is to Caton.
Lan OPC responds with 63 Elizabeth Hartley’s b1817 +/- 2 years and none look likely.

Thanks, I'll take a lookout the Hornby parish records, I'm also looking for Elizabeth s grave, so hopefully will have some joy with that.

Thanks, I realised I put Mary down as other child, it should have been Anne, born about 1844, baptism at beginning of 1845, can't find a death for her but not with Elizabeth in 1851, wonder if she was adopted.
