Hello everyone,
The electoral register for Yorkshire in 1962 shows on the first page ..........
Register of elections in force 16/2/1961 to 15/2/1962. Does this mean they were collecting the data from February 1961 to use in the 1962 register ? I ask because my great grandmother who died in December of 1961 is showing in this 1962 electoral register.
Thanks and regards,
Julie

The register would have been canvassed around September/October 1960 and was effective for any elections between 16/2/1961 to 15/2/1962. It would not have been amended during that period due to her death
