Title: Looking for information on Loughran family
Post by: Daryl Morgan on Saturday 25 July 20 07:08 BST (UK)
A relative has told me that my Morgan ancestors came to England from Ireland with two other traveller families - Loughran and Miller. Northwest England seems to be their area. They probably came over around 1850.

Has anyone else come across Loughran as a travelling family? I know we are also connected to Howards / Knowles / Young and Richardson, but Loughran is a new one to me.

You can use familysearch  for free searches of the UK census to find any traveller families of that surname.

Perhaps then you can spot connections

Daryl,
Here is your previous post re some of your family names.

I have linked it because you mention geographical areas rather than ‘Northwest England ’.

It helps if you post references that you already have, e.g. census information so that people can look at the right people but not repeat what you already have.

Do you have Loughran in your family or is this just an open question re the Loughran name.

Really? So can I also use my Ancestry.com full access account to search too?

Here is your post to me so you can better understand my question.

Does anyone on RootsChat *Chat* or do you all just give advice on how to write a proper post?

In case you don't get it, that was a rhetorical question. I've already unsubscribed to this website.
