Wayne communicated with my uncle in New Zealand, who was also keen on Dickey genealogy, back in 2005. During early 2019 and my own research into the Randalstown Dickeys I tried contacting Wayne through ancestry.com, while noting that he had not signed in there for over a year. I fear he may have passed away. Can anyone confirm either way?

Hi JonMay
Facebook has a few members with that name, including NewZealand-based.
Good luck!
Ray
You could also try 192.com & Tracegenie.com if more UK-based

Thanks Ray. He was an active member on Ancestry for years, then nada.

Hello Jon - I too have been trying to get in touch with Wayne with whom I lost contact some years ago. Have recently approached

Thank you Dinny.

Hi Jon.
I have Dickey in my family tree from Co. Antrim going back to Nathaniel Dickey, b. abt 1757. My 3rd Gt-Grandmother was Mary Rose Dickey and married Roger Luke. their daughter, Rose Elizabeth (Dickey) Morrow is my Gt Grandmother, Esther (Morrow) McIntyre's mother.
Esther and Robert (Gt-Grandfather) emigrated to NZ with their two sons; the third son being born in NZ some 11 years after my Grandfather, George Luke McIntyre.
I am sorry to hear you have lost contact with Wayne; been there myself with a USA relative on my Grandmother's side.
By chance, do any of the names mentioned above pop up in your Dickey Family? I'm trying to get more information on my Dickey family, so looking everywhere and happened upon your post.
Kind regards
Rhel McIntyre

Hi Rhel - no, none of those names appear among my 'Hollybrook Dickeys of Randalstown'. There were a whole mess of 'Cullbackey Dickeys' nearby, though I've not found a person that links the two families. Many random Dickey facts can be found in this thread ...

Are you a member of ancestry.com? I could put you in touch with a couple of members there who have extensive Dickey trees. I'm not paid up there at the moment so can't view those trees to check if any of your lot are present.

have you found or are a contributor to either of these two sources below
first reminding myself Randalstown is in Drummaul civil parish.
checking whats available on GenesReunited
“Wayne” has 2 entries in trees for New Zealand
Wayne Dickey 1985 SUNDERLAND Tyne and ... treeholder John
Wayne Dickey 1944 Auckland ... treeholder Wayne
“Dickey” has 23 entries in GenesReunited for New Zealand which strangely doesn’t list Wayne the majority treeholder is Grant with 14 older than 1924
“Dickey” in Ireland has 111 entries.
checking whats available in wikitrees on https://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/dickey “Dickey” has 69 entries for ireland in entry
“Dickey” has over 45 entries with Antrim in entry
“Dickey” has 6 entries in Drummaul Co Antrim in entry
“Dickey” has 4 entries in Ballybollen Drummaul Co Antrim in entry
“Dickey” has 1 entries in Ballymacilroy Drummaul Co Antrim in entry
probably more because of my haste
my desire was to collect all Wayne Dickey contributions some might be archived?
good luck
a Ray Hawkes seems to cover Rhel mcIntyre line, a Pam? Hawkes cover
run out of time hoping it helps

I have a cousin Wayne Dickey. I know that he was doing family research a few years ago, but not sure if he still is. He is in New Zealand still, I believe. This may be the person that you are looking for. Do you have any more information on him, or his research? I will try to verify this. Linda

Gee thank you Linda - I'm sorry that I missed seeing your reply. He does sound like the Wayne I am looking for.
