Does any one know what's happened to Mapco.Net?. Ive tried accessing the site a number of times over the last couple of weeks but it just comes back that mapco.net server ip address cant be found. i know there where issues a few years back and it was going to shut down, but when it was saved i assumed the problems had been sorted out ...it would be a shame if its down for good. the maps of London on the site where invaluable to me and my research. i will be lost with out it.

Hi
You can access it via the wayback machine:
https://web.archive.org/web/20200510230246/https://mapco.net/
I don't know whether all the pages will load properly.

thanks Gaie....I've just tried that link and opened one map so far which seems to work OK. which is good for now but i still hope the actual site will return. it was a fantastic site for free searchable maps.

I would say I'm quite experienced using the internet, but i had never heard of it until you directed me there. I've just looked at the Wikipedia page about it. it sounds like its been around for some time ill have to remember that when I'm looking for sites
thanks again

I was looking for some maps on Mapco a few days ago and wondered what had happened to it.
So pleased it is back, and good to know it is on the Wayback Machine in case we ever lose it again.
Thanks tezzer and Gaie. :)
