Hi, Is anyone researching the Cowie family in the Durham area, they were miners and moved all over the county. Some of the names were Benjamin, Robert, James, John and my Grandfather was William born 1889 Trimdon.Thanks Hartill

It has been quite a while since you posted, and I wonder if you have gone back further since then. I am also researching the Cowey/Cowie families in Durham and it quite possible we are related, but most details I hold of this extensive family are earlier than those you have given. Do you have details further back now? Patricia
