Title: Sgt. Norman Crowhurst, RAF
Post by: johncrowner on Tuesday 30 June 20 11:17 BST (UK)
Is this too vague? Would like to trace service record of my uncle, served in RAF in WW2, Born1921 in the Uckfield area. Only memory of him was a photo of him, sitting at a piano, wearing RAF uniform with sergeants stripes. Died about ten years ago. Anyone help, please? Thanks

WW2 service records are still held by the Ministry of  Defence (in his case the RAF 3rd party Disclosure Team)

Here is how to go about applying:
https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records  (you don't need his service number as long as you have his date of birth (and the other requirements).

PS If he was Norman Joseph then his service number was 1640032:
