Hello Julian
I have had a very quick look at one or two French sites but couldn't see an Edmond Reginald Leblanc - lots of just Edmonds though - Leblanc is a common name in France. Are you absolutely certain he was born in 1854 or is the date deduced from other information? Any other clues that might help such as occupation? Just in case he could be following in his father's footsteps.

Hello Judith
Thankyou for looking for me, It was only stated he was 67 yrs old on his death cert so he died in 1921 but could possibly be wrong age for him.
much appreciated you looking for me

Hello Julian
That's a pity, as it would have reduced the number of candidates! If someone finds his marriage that may give his father's name which might be a help.
What did he do in India?

Hi Judith
He was a Postmaster General at GPO in Calcutta India, His wife Victoria is only mentioned on his Daughters Christening on 26 th Feb 1922 her name was Dinah Enid Leblanc, I dont have any other info about Victoria but she was alot younger than him and was probably his 2 nd wife, So if you spot a marriage i would be interested too.
many thanks for your help and time.

Hi,
Are you sure that he was a native of France ? Reginald doesn't sound French at all.
-
I agree with David. I also wonder if he could have had the job of postmaster with the GPO if he was French, although he might have been naturalised. Have you tried Post Office records and/or FIBIS?

My first thought was : he is from Canada

He was buried in Calcutta by the United Free Church of Scotland, so it might be worth looking for him at ScotlandsPeople.
