Title: Anyone related to this Anne Hamilton of Newtownstewart
Post by: kaperc on Tuesday 23 June 20 23:20 BST (UK)
Looking for info on Anne Hamilton, widow, who married William Fulton, widower and tailor, 18 Nov 1851, by license at Strabane Registrar's Office. Both of Newtownstewart.

I would like to find out if her 1st married name was Hamilton, or was that her maiden name? The date makes finding records difficult - I lucked out finding the 2nd marriage on IrishGen.

Hi not related ..but there is this information on Ireland Select Marriages
Anne Hamilton
Marriage date 18 November 1851 Strabane Ireland
Father William Hamilton
Spouse William Fulton

So looks like Hamilton was her maiden name

You can look at the marriage cert https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1851/09418/5412090.pdf
Both bride and groom are listed as widow and widower respectively

There is a marriage of a William Hamilton to an Anne Hamilton in 1848 her father is William but his occupation is shoemaker
