Hello Louise
Here’s what I have on the names you mention - all are connections by marriages through my DOGGRELL line.
Martha Mary DOGGRELL (my 3rd cousin 3 x removed) married Albert COWARD (born c.1848) in Gillingham, 8 August 1869. From this marriage, four known children: Mary, Sidney, Ernest & Frank.
John DOGGRELL (6x great grandfather) married Mary COX (born c.1710) in Gillingham, 21 April 1731 (10 children)
Thomas DOGGRELL (1st cousin 6 x removed) married Elizabeth HONEYFIELD (born c.1763) in Gillingham, 2 December 1794 (5 children)
I have lots of information on the DOGGRELL line, but nothing else on their spouses.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Joy

Hi Louise,
My great grandmother was Mary Anne Wadman who married Seth Thompson and they lived in Gillingham, Dorset. Mary's mother and father were Robert Wadman and Elizabeth Taylor
Mary Anne had other siblings - Robert Tom, Elizabeth Sarah, Fanny Matilda and Anna H.
Robert Tom married twice, Sarah Ann Pike and then Alice Mary Drewitt.
Anna H married George Henry Sheppard.
Fanny never married and died a spinster in 1957 at 8 Peasemarsh Terrace, Gillingham. (Ihave a copy of her death certificate. She was a governess and her father is stated as being a tailor (journeyman).
Let me know is you need any more as there's loads.

Hello Louse,
My Grandmother was Susan Gertrude Wadman.
Her parents were Wyndham and Jane Wadman. Jane was from Motcombe, a couple of miles outside of Gillingham. I have a wonderful photograph of Wyndham and Jane.
Going back through my Grandmother's ancestry, I have GREEN and COWARD in the line.

My lineage goes back to William Wadman born ~1796 in England. I'm in the USA.

Hi Al: if you look on Findmypast or Ancestry census records there are both Wadman and Wodman girls working as throwsters ( winding raw silk yarn) in the silk mill from a young age. Sadly neither 1841 nor 1871 list occupations, but 1851/61/81/91 do.
