Hope someone can help please, as I am trying to trace the Kaye family, and have too many options for the parents of Walter Kaye. I know Walter was born in 1833 and died in 1893 (buried in Milnsbridge St Lukes church). He married Matilda Morton (1832-1897), and they had 4 children, one of who was my great-Grandad.
The 1841 and 1851 census are inconclusive, and they indicate Walter could have been a lodger in 1851, and living in Liversidge with family in 1841. Records sometimes have the wrong spelling of Kay/Kaye/etc. which don't make it easy ! However, the Marriage certificate details will help confirm who his parents are.
If you have access to Almondbury or other Huddersfield marriage records, then that would be great - all help is much appreciated :)
Thanks, Andy

He isnt with the family on 51 census so your lodger in Rashcliffe could be him.
