Hi,
I've come across this place in Birmingham, depsite living majority of my life there I'm lost on this and I can't figure out what this place is. Anyone have any ideas?

I think it says Staffordshire Birmingham

I think it says Staffordshire Birmingham
Yes, I agree - it is Staffordshire. :)
Presume it should be Warwickshire though? :-\ I know borders have changed over the years but I thought Birmingham has always been in Warwickshire.
Whereabouts was the person living at the time of this census? Sometimes you see errors when someone is living in another part of the country or abroad and places are unfamiliar to the enumerator or form filler.

Could it be referring to the RC Archdiocese of Birmingham? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic_Archdiocese_of_Birmingham (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic_Archdiocese_of_Birmingham)

Thanks for the replies! Reallt appreacite everyone's help. Now you've mentioned I can see it c written as Staffordshire!
It was recorded in Wales, many years later on a census at the time, so would make sense there was perhaps an error somewhere. After much tracing through other censuses there seems to be some confusion over where exactly he was born. There has been Birmingham, Warwickshire and Staffordshire given. I'll keep on trying to get things clearer as I'd like to find the birth certificate.
Thanks again everyone

What was his name and when was he born? Perhaps we can help find his birth for you.
