I had ancestors in the Revolutionary War: some were at the Battle of Kings Mountain.
I had ancestors on both sides during the Civil War. Some died of their wounds at hospitals after the battle, some died in prisons. Several made it back after the war. Did lots of research on my ancestors as to what they did. Had over 30 ancestors in the Civil War.
I had relatives in the Navy, Army and Air Corps. My dad was on an aircraft carrier (USS Wake Island) during WW II. He was in the Pacific and their ship was hit by a kamikaze plan and came close to being sunk. He was a signalman. He was in from 1942-1946. I was in the USAF from 1969-1990-I was in purchasing/procurement; had two overseas tours: Okinawa for 18 months (1971-1973) and 4 years in England (1980-1964).

Well, me too. In fact, probably back to King Philip's War. Any specific question?

No specific question. ;)

My 5x great grandfather, Amos Davis, was at the Battle of Bunker Hill with Col. Moses Little's Regiment. He went on to serve with Col. Michael Jackson's 8th Massachusetts Regiment in New York and New Jersey. And my 4x great grandfather, John Ware, served in the defense of Providence, RI with Col. Nathaniel Wade's Massachusetts Regiment.

Me, too. There are too many to mention in the American Revolutionary War. Fun fact: Bunker Hill is named after one of my ancestors. Another fun fact: I have ancestors who were on both sides of that war. A couple of them actually chopped down the Liberty Tree in Boston while another was a captain of one of the three ships that brought the tea into Boston Harbor in 1773 (that did not turn out so well.)

Here's another fun fact: my 7x g-grandfather, Jean Mallet, built the windmill that later became the 'Old Powder House' which was raided by British troops in September 1774, precipitating the so-called Powder Alarm
