As far as I can ascertain Richard Snr. died in 1834 aged 57.
Ann Pinch's father went by the glorious name of Narcissus Pinch
b. c .1780 Cornwall.

The date of the marriage shown above is incorrect - it took place 25th October 1824 (wrongly transcribed on Ancestry as December). Banns were read 29 Aug/5 Sept/12 Sept.
Looks like Richard Melson's wife Ann (nee Wells) was buried at Shoreditch 19/1/1823 aged 45 and that Richard remarried to a Catherine Allen, widow 16/3/1828. As mentioned, Richard died 1834 and presumably Catherine Melson aged 50 with the family in 1841 is Richard jnr.'s widowed stepmother.
