Sorry if this is a repeat post but are the above records of Springwood Crem or Anfield Crem or was there a third crem that I'm unaware of? Or are they a mash up of all crems?
Also there seems to be certain dates / years missing from the drop down list you can access.
Experts advice required, thank you!

I’m not getting any match on the card catalogue for those records - can you post the link?

Hope this works!

They are cemetery records - not crematorium
-
Liverpool Crematorium is the one at Anfield, acquired in 1907, the first record on Ancestry is for 10th October 1908. See http://www.old-merseytimes.co.uk/liverpoolcrematorium.html

Sorry - have scoured that link and cannot see any mention of crematorium records - only cemetery records so must be missing something somehow
If you use the “Browse this collection” it only mentions cemeteries and the main title only mentions cemetery so what am I doing wrong ??

if you view an image, then access the drop down list of dates, the dates go on until 31 March 1992!

EG: search William H G Young died 1985 - dates and location blank - but click on view record and states cremation date 29 March 1985 and buried Liverpool

An example cover shot! :-\

Many thanks - got it!!

I presume then that the Springwood Crem by Allerton still hold their earlier and/or all records! ???

Films of Liverpool Crematorium records are held in the Liverpool Archives at the Central Library. This is almost certainly where Ancestry were given access to them to put on the website. According to the Archives' catalogue, it appears they hold the original registers as well. If there are gaps in the records available on Ancestry, the explanation is likely to be that Ancestry did not upload all the films. This is what I was told when I was looking for a marriage in St. Peter's, Church Street which took place in the 1880s. It appears the staff had told Ancestry about it on multiple occasions. On Ancestry, there is a big gap in the films of marriage registers for this church which covers a period which starts in the1850s and does not end untiil about 1901. All the films are available if you can visit the archives, but I'm afraid it's frustrating for us all at the moment.

Thanks for the details! 8)

Springwood Crematorium did not open until 1975

I just looked in the archives catalogue, though they have Liverpool (Anfield) Crematorium registers listed, they do not have anything in the catalogue for Springwood Crematorium Registers.
Perhaps they are still held by the Crematorium and have not yet been deposited.

I've been looking at these .The database was recently updated on 15/04/2020.
Perhaps they did upload all the images - but maybe they are /were still in the process of transcribing them for the database?
Your example of William H G Young, died 1985, Though in the results list the date of birth and date of burial fields are blank, if you hover over the View Record link, you get a pop up with the details
Name William H G Young
age 70
Record Type Cremation
Cremation date 29/03/1985
Burial place Liverpool Merseyside
I'd guess they still need to fine tune it (which I suspect is true for a lot of things on the site), but hovering over the link will give the info that's missing in the results list and if you have lots of possibles in the results 'hovering' line by line is quicker than opening each link in turn to find the most likely one.
For the convenience of being able to access these online, I'll put up with slight oddities. Even when the archives are open, its a 450 mile round trip for me to visit.

This old thread popped up in a search result and so I thought I’d add something in case it is helpful to anyone.
I’m now working on my husband’s family tree. He’s from Liverpool and so he has many relatives who were cremated either at Anfield or at Springwood.
No problem pre-1975 – the cremations were at Anfeld and I found quite a few records on Ancestry.
But I was confused to see my husband’s grandparents feature in the same set of ‘Liverpool Crematorium’ records. They died in 1981 and were cremated at Springwood.
So I contacted the Liverpool Archives today and they told me that all the crematorium records are listed together under ‘Liverpool Crematorium’ – both online and in the originals. I was surprised to hear that.
So for anyone looking at the Liverpool Crematorium records on Ancestry for post-1975 cremations, these events could have been at Anfield or Springwood and you won’t find that information online.
The Archives recommended checking local newspapers (eg Liverpool Echo) for death notices, to find the correct venue (which I had already started to do).

This page has links to Books of Remembrance online for both Anfield and Springwood.

Obviously not everyone chooses to have an entry but it 'may' save some time trawling through newspapers?
and its nice to see the entry if there was one
