What information are you looking for?

There is an 1871 census record for a John Harnwell living at Ber Street, St John de Sepulchre, Norwich, Norfolk with his wife Mary.

The image says that he is an umbrella maker born in Bressingham.

There is a marriage record for a John Harnwell to a Mary Anne Fisk.  Married on 9 July 1832, place not specified.

The banns record however says Bressingham.

The image for the marriage states John was a widower, so presumably there is an earlier marriage somewhere.

I've found what appears to be the same man and his wife in the 1861 census.

Living at Market Hill, Framlingham, Plomesgate, Suffolk as lodgers.  His occupation is given as umbrella maker born in Bressingham.

He has been given a birth year of 1809 however if you look at the original his age is given as 58, so birth year of 1803.

No children with them.

Were you expecting them to have had children?

I have found a baptism for a Mary Anne Harnwell on 5 May 1833 at Bressingham,  parents John and Mary and they even give Mary's maiden name of Fisk.

Thank you Girl Guide. I have some of those but I'll check them out. This is a really complicated family. There are lots of them in the Bressingham area and some in West Walton. Sometimes if they move the spelling of the surname changes. I suppose that's due to pronunciation. Thanks again, Kamar

I think this is a different person. There is one family whose father had a wife and a housekeeper, who had two families at the same time. Sometimes they called themselves Harnwell and sometimes Long and sometimes Long Harnwell.   Thank you for your help, Kamar

That's a pity.
Anyway, the John Harnwell of the 18th Dragoons died 26 February 1809.
Said to have attested at Norwich in 1805
Age 23 (I think it means he was 23 when he attested)

Born at Bressingham, Norfolk
Occupation Linen weaver

That's from a description book in class WO 25 at TNA, on ancestry! No mention of Long on the army records.

The estate duty register for that 1809 administration granted to his widow Mary can be downloaded for free from TNA (preview it with the watermarked image viewer!)
Abstract of Administration of John Harnwell otherwise Long, Private in the 18th Dragoons

(not working for me at the moment, I doubt it has anything much of any help though)

Possible?
Baptism at Bressingham, 2 Sep 1781, John, son of Lydia Long

Meanwhile, 25 January 1801, Bressingham, Norfolk
John Harnwell
+
Mary Noble

Both single and of the parish. By banns. He signed, she marked.

Baptism of son John at Bressingham in 1802 :)
Then what happened to them?

Thank you for all that information. I'm going to have another look at this Harnwell/ Long situation.

I also checked to see if any emigration was involved and found a John Harnwell b 1802 living in Huron, Bruce County, Ontario, living with son James and wife. He was born in England. May be a shot in the dark.

Thank you for your help Kamar

The John Harnwell who married 2nd Mary Ann Fisk, his first marriage also in Bressingham was to Phoebe Feek 9 August 1830.
She was buried 1 April 1932 age 29.

ADDED
John and Phoebe had a child David baptised Bressingham 1 April 1932, the day his mother was buried so we can say his first wife died in childbirth.

Thank you for your help. I am aware of the marriages and that his parents were John Harnwell and Mary Noble. They were married in 1801 in Bressingham. I now need to locate his father's birth. Mary Noble was born in 1779 in Bressingham, but I can't find a john Harnwell born around that time.
 Appreciate your help. Kamar
