I have found a burial for John Menzie aged 34 Tavern Keeper at the above graveyard in March 1840. It says the burial comprised a hearse and two horses - I cannot find any more information on John, I wondered whether having a hearse and two horses would have been a fairly expensive funeral? Would there be any more information available about this burial? I am trying to either rule him out as a potential ancestor or confirm that he is! If he is then he would have been married to Elizabeth nee Gardner. Grateful for any advice !
