Wallace family Castlebellingham
This post is connected to one I posted earlier in the week about burial records for Kilsaran, but as I now have some more information relating to Mary Wallace, who’s grave I am trying to locate I thought it best to do separate post.
Looking for anyone connected to Mary Wallace’s family of Castlebellingham. In the 1901 census Mary is recorded in house no. 8, aged 14 living with her father John, Mother Kate and brothers Patrick, Michael, John and William, and sisters Julia, Margaret, and Kate.
Mary and some members of her family are still there in 1911, her father is widowed, it appears later that year he remarried Margaret Curtis, and in 1919 they had a daughter Anne.
Research indicates that Anne (Nancy) remained living in the area and married a John McCartney.
I am hoping to make contact with someone connected to Mary Wallace’s family who may be able to help me identify where her grave might be in Kilsaran graveyard. As she did not marry she may be buried with her parents or some other member of her family. Many thanks Margaret

It helps to post links to other topics, records already found, etc. to save us from repeating same searches.

Rootschat isn't a forum for tracing living relatives but with the above census details and civil records available on above site you should be able to add a bit more information on the family members that stayed in Ireland

Thank you both very much for that information and links.
Also I take your point that perhaps this is not the most appropriate forum for my post as the main reason I am posting is not to built a family tree but it is just to try and locate the actual grave of Mary Wallace from Castlebellingham (died Dec 1953 ) who I know is buried somewhere in Kilsaran graveyard. Someone I know would like to visit her grave. Thanks for all the help.

Hi there,
If you are still looking, I grew up next door to (Anne) Nancy Wallace McCartney. She lived to be over 100 years old and died only a few years ago. Let me know if you would like a photo of her gravestone. Her husband, Johnny, died decades before she did.
