Title: How to trace back pre-1800

Hi, Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
I've hit a bit of a brick wall tracing back further in my family tree.

I have a reference for a marriage in 1824 (FHL Film number and page number) and was hoping that if I could see the record it may have their parents names on it so I can trace back further

Does anyone know of any online database or is a visit to a records office? (obviously not available at this time  :(

In what country did the 1824 marriage take place?

If in England/Wales, then a marriage in 1824 will have taken place in a parish and been recorded in the parish register. The location of that parish register now (and whether it has been digitised and made available online) will depend on what parish it was.

If you can provide more information then we will be better able to help. Ideally: names of the parties, precise date in 1824, location.

Not much help right now, but if you go to Family Search (the FHL tells you this is Family Search Film)
Search/Catalogue/ then select Film no.  Enter the digits in the space and it comes up as

Bishop's transcripts for All Saints Church, Worcester, 1612-1876

and there is a locked camera, which means they have been digitised but you have to go to an LDS library or affiliate library to see the actual images.

The parish registers are there too. Also locked Camera icon  :(

Thanks - that has still been a helpful, giving me the link to which register.  I hope I will be able to visit a library in the near future to look this up.

A marriage entry after 1812 does not show their parents names.

Marriage registers give the names and parishes of the parties, the date and place of marriage, whether by banns or licence, whether with consent of parents or guardians, and the name of the officiating minister. Also given are the names of the witnesses and signatures or marks of the spouses.
