There is an extensive report of the marriage of Percy Hasting Clark to
Emma Mary Sides in several papers including Essex Herald 24 April 1894
Included - His sisters Mrs Feron and Mrs FC Hale attended the wedding with his aunt and Sidney Feron of the Foreign Office. The town was decorated in bunting and the church crammed. The couple spent their honeymoon in Paris

Chelmsford Chronicle 23 October 1896
A Sequel to a Night Out
At Clerkenwell Sessions on Wednesday Percy Clarke, described in the calander as a traveller, but until recently landlord of the Red Lion Hotel, Billericay, was indicated for having stolen a horse, gig and harness. His defence said he was on a spree, was a man of means and it was unlikely he had any felonious intent. He was found not guilty and released
